My family had no connection to Camp until about 15 years ago, when we went with friends. We now have a spot to camp every year, and wouldn't miss. Even if the Creek doesn't have a lot of water, the fun, renewing old friendships and making new ones keeps Camp a joy every year!

My family has been going to Camp Ben for over 40 years. We used to swing off the rope swing in the creek. Glad to see the website. We've missed going a few times because we didn't know the schedule. Hope the creek is full! (Justice family)

About a quarter of my total memories include Camp Ben and my family. I love it that you can see our history carved and nailed into the old trees at our campsite at Camp Ben. One from every year we've been. It's one of the best ways to remember my grandmother Barbara (Rees) Koonce. She always loved it more than anyone I've known. It's like she's always there.

Many of my earliest memories are of Camp Ben. It was always a magical place where I would sit and listen to the old-timers discuss their childhood experiences. Though they have gone to a better place, I treasure what those people and Camp Ben have meant to me.

My years at Camp Ben have held the sweetest memories...from building dams on Onion Creek and the carnival.....to getting ready in the sweltering heat (yes, no campers back then) for the dance....to bringing my children and watching them experience the same things! I truly believe that those who love it NEVER leave it!

And I forgot to mention another family that attends Camp Ben faithfully every year - The Wallace family!!

It's really nice to see that a website honoring Camp Ben and, especially, the reunion, is finally up and going. I will be there again this year with my son Gage (who LOVES it!) and my entire family (Whetsone/Roberts/Rees/Cluiss/Flinn/Houser/Baggs/Koonce/West/Floerke)

Some of my fondest childhood memories are of Camp Ben... and now I get to make some new memories there. I am forever grateful to those who have worked tirelessly (then & now) to keep our heritage and our beloved Camp Ben alive and well.
